Our Cat
Cats are pretty strange animals. A lot of people hate them and I can tell you exactly why. It’s because they are so damn independent and often times aloof.
Those are the reasons that I like cats.
Dogs are, for the most part, idiots. Some of them are smart idiots but idiots all the same. I grew up around both cats and dogs and I know this for a fact. We had lots of cow dogs that were smart enough to round up 40 head of surly, high-headed cattle but were stupid enough to get repeatedly kicked in the teeth.
Cats aren’t idiots.
Except our cat.
Our cat has this fetish with the furnace. Every time the furnace kicks on the damn thing runs up and sticks its face right up to the vent.
Consequently, during the winter months our cat is without whiskers and much of her facial hair.
Consequently, during the winter months you will, quite often, notice the smell of burned cat whiskers/hair wafting through the hallway into the living room.
Yeah, our cat is an idiot.
