Welcome-The 25 Word Challenge
I'm off for the weekend so I thought I would start the challenge early. I'll cut it off Sunday night.
For those of you unfamiliar to the challenge, it was originated by Christina at Feisty Repartee and I'm proud to host it this week. The rules are simple:
a) each comment has to be precisely 25 words and
b) no back to back comments, but commenters can come back as often as they like.
While you're here, take a look around-it's a hodgepodge.
Here goes:
The curtains opened and from the gurney he saw his past staring back at him. As the fluid began to drip, he thought, "My God........

"That cannot be my blood!"
It was.
Everything had happened so quickly. He wavered between cold sleepiness of shock and remembering...where was his wife?!
The last thing he remembered was seeing her beside him in the wreckage. She was unconscious and bleeding. Why wouldn't they say where she was?
It was because they didn't want to make him any more delirious than he already was. what they wouldn't tell him that his beloved wife....
The mask came down. As he breathed deeply of the anesthesia, memories of her came flooding back.
Her long chestnut hair blowing in the wind.
Her laughing smile. Her emerald eyes. She made his heart race uncontrollably, his blood to pound.
She was teasingly leading him towards the water's edge.
The light was bright at the end of the tunnel. He saw her there, waiting, watching. He could hear her calling his name, softly, provocatively.
Scrubbed for emergency surgery, Madame Doctor, looked at the patient. All she could make out from her vantage was the man's hand, and his ring...
Pulling away the sheet she saw the man who abandoned her and her mom to start a family with a new wife-her estranged father! The End-Thanks to all! Sorry I couldn't participate in my own challenge but I was out of town and "modemless." I'll have some comments sometime today.
